What You Will Learn & Experience

The training explores a rich and carefully structured range of skills and practices.

Full details are outlined step-by-step in the training brochure, with the work organised around the following core themes:

  • Shamanic Foundations & Spirit Relationship
  • Soul Healing & Retrieval
  • Energy Healing & Practitioner Skills
  • Ethics, Safety & Professional Practice
  • Tools, Sound & Embodied Practice
  • Energetic Strengthening & Initiation

These themes are woven progressively across the training weekends, allowing learning, practice, and integration to deepen over time.

Drum Birthing as part of the training

One of the unique elements of this programme is a full drum and beater birthing weekend, where you will create your own shamanic drum as a lifelong healing ally.

This is included because working with your own drum is a central part of developing as a practitioner and building a strong relationship with the work.

If you have already made a drum with me previously, this weekend still offers deeper learning around working with your drum in healing practice.

Benefits of the Programme

This training isn’t just a course  - it’s a pathway to embodied practitioner confidence and personal transformation.

Through the year, it will support you to:

  • Develop a grounded, practical understanding of shamanic and energy healing
  • Grow confidence in holding safe, ethical healing sessions
  • Experience deep personal growth and inner transformation
  • Strengthen intuition, discernment, and spiritual connection
  • Walk your own path with clarity, integrity, and presence
  • Join a community of like-minded practitioners

Lineage, Ethics & Accreditation

This training is rooted in the traditions and teachings that have shaped my own path, and is held with care, integrity, and respect for the work.

My foundational shamanic training was with Lendrick Lodge in Scotland, whose approach draws on Core Shamanism, including the work of Sandra Ingerman, alongside Celtic, Native American, and Peruvian influences. I have also trained in Andean traditions, including the Munay-Ki rites, and bring many years of practical experience working with clients into the teaching.

The programme is delivered within an ethical, trauma-aware framework and holds professional accreditation with the International Practitioners of Holistic Medicine (IPHM).

This combination of lineage, lived practice, and grounded professionalism underpins everything you will learn.

How the Training Is Delivered

This year-long training is held within a structured and supportive container, combining in-person weekends with ongoing integration and practice development. It combines:

  • Clear, practical method notes to support your learning
  • Live demonstrations and guided practice with Dawn
  • Supervised healing exchanges with fellow students
  • Group discussion, reflection, and integration
  • Ongoing guidance for home practice and case studies

Between weekends, support continues as you explore and integrate each skill, allowing confidence and competence to build steadily over time.

Who This Training Is For

This training is likely to be a good fit if you:

  • feel drawn to deep spiritual practice

  • want to become a grounded, responsible practitioner

  • value embodied experience as much as technique

  • are ready for ethical, client-focused healing work

  • seek integration of shamanic and energy healing modalities

This training may not be suitable if you are seeking a quick fix, surface-level spirituality, or a casual weekend experience.

Participant Reflections (Testimonials)

As this is a new training programme, I don’t yet have testimonials specifically for Hollow Bone. However, here are a few reflections from participants on my other trainings and retreats:

Birthing my first drum was so much more than I expected. Dawn gently guided and held me through the process without pressure or rush, creating a deeply relaxing and nurturing space. The experience touched me on many levels – awakening my creativity, confidence, and inner strength. I realised afterwards how much energy had shifted within me. I left feeling happy, grateful, and truly transformed. Dawn is a wonderful guide – Andrea

would highly recommend this workshop with Dawn. She held a gentle and loving space throughout the drum birthing process, guiding me with compassion and allowing my creativity to emerge. The connection we built with our drum and beater felt deeply personal and sacred. It was a truly transformative experience  Regina

From the moment I arrived, Dawn held the space with warmth and wisdom. Her deep knowledge and gentle guidance made the whole process feel sacred. This wasn’t just about making a drum – it was a meaningful journey, beautifully held by someone who truly walks her path with heart. I’m so grateful for the experience and would highly recommend it – Lynsey
